Heart surgery

Period: 04.05.2015 - 07.05.2015
Protocol entries: 2
Area(s): Heart, Operation

At May 6, 2015, I received inpatient hospitalization and on May 7, I am scheduled to have surgery for a thoracic aortic aneurysm. A vascular prosthesis is inserted into the aorta and a correction may also be made to the heart valve. I will find out more the day before the operation. I’m already trying not to let any gloomy thoughts arise so that I can go about my daily life as normal.
I would like to be admitted to the inpatient program to assist in my healing in the days before or after surgery. I want to be back home for the strawberry harvest at the beginning of June.
My hospital stay will probably be for 8-10 days, followed by 3 weeks of rehab.
Thank you very much. M.R.

    Good news

It’s hard to believe, but I was discharged from the clinic again this evening. We can already finish the stationary program. I sincerely thank everyone who participated. In the last few days I have been extremely calm, even a little pleased that my “handicap” was finally being tackled. But what happened?

I had to undergo countless, sometimes unpleasant examinations. It was found that the aorta was still dilated and there was aortic valve insufficiency, but based on the findings there was currently no indication for surgery. I will now be closely examined medically in the near future. I do not have to take any medication. Secretly, I hope that the aortic aneurysm will not grow any larger and that surgery will not be necessary in the next few years, if at all.

So first of all thank you, thank you … and all the love and health to you all.

    Successful completion!

We all share M’s enthusiasm fully. Nevertheless, let’s not be hasty to hit the stop button now and let the help fade out slowly. So: please send Reiki now and then – as you feel appropriate – until next week. Only, these shipments you do not need to ensure binding.

This case has a history of follow-up; see“Surgery for aortic aneurysm.”
