From Reiki teacher Arno Greter (who also wrote an important article on end-of-life care during his training) we received this case study. You can find the whole story on Arno’s website: livereiki.ch/blog.
At the beginning of December, the husband suffered a severe heart attack with cardiac arrest. Two weeks later he is in intensive care and in a vegetative state. The doctors gave the wife little hope, as the brain had been without oxygen for too long. Before Christmas, the husband received remote Reiki treatments.
Already during the first remote treatment, the husband smiled at his wife for the first time since the heart attack. He received Reiki daily, now also directly from his wife. Since then, things have been getting a little better every day and the caregivers also registered small progress.
On 27 December, the man began to respond and the next day he received a speech cannula that enabled him to talk. He recognised his loved ones, remembered his age and talked with his typical dry humour. In the days that followed, the doctors said, “Wow, that’s incredible!” They noted the progress “with great astonishment”. The nursing staff also said: “There’s no such thing!”

Ende Januar 2023
Reha und SchlagzeugOn 21 January 2023, the patient is allowed to spend the weekend at home with his loved ones for the first time. He has spent the last 2 weeks in a rehabilitation clinic. He continues to make astonishingly fast and good progress. Last week, for example, he was already passionately playing his beloved drums again. He continues to receive daily treatment. Full recovery takes time and patience, but the family is extremely confident. He and his wife and daughter have already shown extraordinary dedication and patience and they are all very grateful.
