A long-time coordinator told us the following: unforgettable experience
On December 23, 2006, I had a very drastic experience in my long Reiki career, which I will never forget.
Like every year, I bought the last Christmas gifts at the last second. As I walked down the street with the last gift under my arms, I saw from a distance a young man throwing his breakdown triangle far away from him in great despair. At the same time, I noticed that his car was in the middle of the street and a crowd was gathered in front of it. Not “Gwunderers halber” (German: not out of curiosity), but because it attracted me magically, I approached the car and saw the full scope of what had happened.
An old woman lay injured on the ground in front of the car, with her walker next to her. I inquired from the “gawkers” what had happened and learned that the woman had unexpectedly run in front of the young man’s moving car.
I sensed that she was not well. Since no one present made an effort to take care of her, I knelt down next to her and felt for her pulse first. I felt that this one was very weak. At first, I too felt a little helpless and didn’t know what to do. To be honest, I couldn’t think of anything at first to help her. But suddenly I heard Misha’s voice:
“Your hands are always with you !!!!”
How true. I put my hands on the injured woman and started the Reiki treatment. I quickly noticed how her condition improved. When I once briefly lifted my hands from her, she immediately reached for them and put them back on her body.
In the meantime, ambulances and police were called. During what was for me a very long 10 minutes until the ambulance arrived, I felt that I could help this woman. However, I was very relieved when a doctor, an anesthesiologist and a paramedic arrived at my house. First, the injured woman was hooked up to an EKG while still in the middle of the street and an IV was started. Since there was also a suspected serious back injury, she was placed on a special stretcher. During all this time I treated this brave woman, who never complained of pain during the whole time, with Reiki. When she was about to be transferred to the ambulance, I detached my hands from the woman because I didn’t want to get in the way.
What happened next, if I hadn’t experienced it myself, I would hardly believe it. Without my treatment, her EKG deteriorated so dramatically that she had to be put back on the floor. What should I do now???? I needed a few seconds, then without hesitation I approached the woman and put my hands on her body again. I could hardly believe it, but her pulse stabilized within a very short time.
On the second attempt to transfer her to the ambulance, I again moved to the side and again her pulse visibly worsened. Immediately I continued my treatment. I didn’t even notice how I was being stared at. Only the voice of the doctor pulled me out of my thoughts and when I looked at her, she looked at me with big eyes and spoke the following sentence: “What on earth are you doing?
I could tell she didn’t know what I was talking about. She just said she had no idea what I meant, but I should leave my hands where they were and come with her to the ambulance. Conclusion: The anesthesiologist and the paramedic had to stay outside.
While the doctor was preparing the woman for transport to the hospital and I was still treating her with Reiki, the doctor asked me again about Reiki. In this half hour I tried to explain Reiki to her. I don’t know if she understood what I was talking about. She only said at the end that she had never experienced anything like today. I ALSO NOT !!!!!!!!!!
