Onstage and behind the scene

Vieanna, September 2019 ERG

Presentations, encounters and juggling acts outside the limelight; from Edinborough to Vienna:

Scotland: the national Reiki Federation (UK Reiki Federation) invited me to speak about reconciliation. Most of the other presentations were very rich in facts and PowerPoint. Projects in hospitals were presented, work with and certification of Reiki animal therapists and scientific research dealing with reiki as energy.
I trust I I fit in perfectly with my emotional reconciliation stories. This association is probably the best organized and oldest in Europe, if not worldwide. In any case, it serves as a role model in many countries on other continents as well. reikifed.co.uk

Portugal: a little in the off and in the shade of Europe’s largest association (Spain with 5000 members) amazing things happen here. Their Reiki work in schools with children and teachers is an example. (See Mischas report.) My friend João Magalhães is president of the thousand-strong association and for the first time in the history of Reiki he organized a day where academics from all over the world could present their Reiki research. It happened this spring and the general topic was history. The theme of reconciliation in the Reiki had its place here, too. My task was to illuminate the necessity of this process in the historical context and reminded that we, all of us, have a chance in the here and now to set a new course, especially with a view towards future Reiki generations. associacaoportuguesadereiki.com

Europe … worldwide: the European Reiki Group (ERG) met for its second annual meeting in Vienna. The inclined reader remembers my enthusiastic report from last year (No sect – an act of reconciliation). Behind the scenes and away from the limelight, ERG has achieved an amazing amount in one year … we ourselves were surprised when we summed it up in Vienna. Visible from the outside, the number of countries represented in Europe has grown to 11. Additionally, there are also connections to Australia, Singapore and Brazil. The greatest success is the multilingual database for scientific Reiki studies, which is publicly accessible and constantly growing. Much juggling takes place in the internal working groups, where results only become apparent in the future. reiki.swiss/science

For me it is a great satisfaction to be able to wittness all these different developments. In particular, ERG’s groundbreaking work is remarkable. It is a long way and I hope that I will have to d with many more stages, whether with public videos or with developments like ERG or behind the scenes, is of no importance. However, I urgently need support. Supporters and co-workers alike, please contact me.
