New Era for Reiki?

Recently I gave a seminar in Berlin and had four(!) generations of the same family with me. Of course, the three-month-old baby did not participate in the sense of reflectively absorbing what was said. It was ‘only’ initiated. Only’ is good, since in Reiki everything revolves around the gift of initiation. What does this anecdote of the four generations tell us?

The beauty of Reiki is its simplicity.

Perhaps the presence of the little girl reminds us how childlike the practice of Reiki is, for the bébé has as much reiki ‘power’ in her little hands as an adult (and – importantly! – as a Reiki 2 graduate or Reiki Master). Continue reading “New Era for Reiki?”

Spring greetings from Mischa

What should I write about when terrible things are happening in the world? Yes, you can say there is always war somewhere. But now it is very close. We all feel the effects on different levels. Helplessness and fear are paralyzing for many. What can we do about it?

It is impressive that their love and prayers are equally aimed at the people in Russia and the people in Ukraine and include their nations’ leaders. Rightly so. A friend of mine, for example, posted the photo of two lovers wrapped in their nation’s flags on Facebook. Continue reading “Peace”

Love prevails

New Year’s Eve. Mischa and the neighbor’s boy are preparing Sushi in the kitchen. We’re about to go celebrate with his parents.

This morning I was lying in the bathtub and heard Mischa singing in the background. In a trash TV show, she had seen a stuffed animal unicorn that, when you press on its belly, says “I love you”. Continue reading “Love prevails”
