Pneumothorax – danger to life

  Very weak, slight improvement

  Hello,

  my mother seems to be out of danger of death, however, the two times of emergency stuation with threat of suffocation has aggravated her dementia, she is hallucinating and reliving the past. It is very, very weak. The drain is still in her left lung and causing her pain. The lung has not yet completely unfolded.

  The doctor who did the pacemaker surgery and caused the pneumothorax called today and said it will be a while before the lungs are okay. She is very sad and regrets it and also says she had thought about it for a long time, but it seemed to be right to implant the pacemaker, my mother had fainting spells more often and the heart always stopped for more than three seconds, especially at night.

  Thank you! Monday after starting the emergency chain, she had a rosy complexion again and spoke more clearly.

  Better

  My mother is doing better. The drainage was removed from the lung Saturday. She is starting to speak more clearly and stood on her own two feet very briefly today (10 sec.). However, she hallucinates all the time. I’m hoping for a spot in geriatrics.

  Thank you and closure

  My mother has been in the geriatric ward since Tuesday. She is slowly recovering physically, also mentally. It is not yet clear how well it will ultimately be restored. At the moment she still needs help for all tasks and often has no connection to reality.

  I hope things continue to improve and thank everyone who sent Reiki very, very much.
