Hip dysplasia

Period: 19.05.2012
Area(s): Joints

In July 2005, he was diagnosed with right hip dysplasia (congenital). Osteoarthritis had also already set in. I suffered from severe pain in my right knee and hip. My orthopedist took me to a specialist at the hospital.
Dortmund sent. In September 2005, I was given my only option: a triple pelvic ostomy. I.e. afterwards: do not perform with the operated side for 3 months, 6 weeks max. Inclination of the joint of 60° (i.e. either lying down or standing on one leg), then X-ray check with the local doctor and the hospital decides whether sitting is allowed. After 12 weeks, repeat X-ray check: Can partial loading be performed? A total of approx. 6 months until everyday suitability is restored.

As the joint was threatening to dislocate and the pain was becoming unbearable decided to
I decided to undergo this surgery. I had great fear and doubt, also how it should go at home during this time. I have a little daughter, 1 1/2 years old at the time. In October 05 I took my Reiki I seminar with Mischa. After that, things went uphill for me. My fears slowly disappeared, I informed on the Internet about this surgery and learned many positive results. That encouraged me. I gave myself Reiki regularly, so that despite massive pain, I very rarely had to resort to painkillers (aspirin).

Just before my surgery in March 2006, I was even looking forward to it and encouraged my family and friends that everything was going to go well and that this was the right path for me.

At the hospital, I was told that this surgery usually takes four to five hours. My surgery started at 8:00 in the morning and at 11:10 I looked at the clock for the first time in the recovery room. A great success (I had someone send me Reiki for the surgery!). From now on I was only allowed to lie on my back in bed; the 6-week X-ray control showed that the ossifications had progressed very well. Friends were amazed during my 3-month layover that I was in such a good mood. I did have some low points, but they weren’t as bad as I expected.

In reports from the other patients who had surgery, I learned that partial loading was actually always done in a 10 kg increment. After 12 weeks I had a partial load of 10 kilos, in the following week 30, then 50 kilos and then full load.

After about 4 1/2 months, I was able to go about my daily life again, mostly without walking aids. I had partial daily physiotherapy, but at least. three times a week (now, of course, too).

At the end of August this year I had severe pain in my right groin, which did not get any better. At the beginning of October my orthopedist discovered that the pubic screw had loosened and migrated out of the bone. I was a little worried that I would not be able to attend my Reiki II seminar with Mischa. But everything fell into place beautifully. I attended the seminar from 11.10. to 13. 10. in Bad Nenndorf and the following week I went to the clinic for screw removal. I was not afraid.

I had a very pleasant stay (also pleasantly short), very nice roommate and a short surgery. The surgeon reported to me that he had removed the screw with his bare hand because the screwdriver had no resistance. Of course, I had immediately applied my newly acquired knowledge with Mischa and had sent Reiki to my hospitalization and surgery and treated myself.
Unfortunately, the other ossifications were still a bit too soft, so the three more screws will be removed in March 2007. I am very relaxed about this appointment.

Even though this time was not a “walk in the park” for me, I have many positive experiences
I got new food for thought and, above all, got to know myself a little better, discovered my weaknesses (admitted), but also hidden strengths.
And: Positive thinking!
