Dog leg surgery

Period: 20.05.2012
Area(s): Pflanzen und Tiere

M. (*27.3.2003) had to have a broken bone splinter surgically removed from his right anterior knee on 9.4.2009. The wound never wanted to heal properly after that. M. also did not load his leg properly and constantly licked the open wound. M. has had to change homes about 3 times in his young life and seems to have been beaten often. His psychological ‘damage’ is well recognized by his jumpy and fearful nature. M. has been living with X. and Y. for 2 years now, where he has found a loving home. X.is the landlord of the physiotherapy practice where I work. She originally asked me for exercise therapy for M. However, I adjusted the treatment to my liking and circumstances. And this is how it went:

On 5/4/09 (1st photo) I treated him with Reiki for the first time at his home. The wound edges were almost 1cm apart. M. did not want to lie down and now sat suspiciously on his blanket. After about 10min he became increasingly sleepy and leaned more and more against the dresser. Finally he surrendered and lay down and slept. After about 30min he woke up and suddenly jumped up and ran away. Apparently that was enough.

On 5/8/09 (2nd photo, sorry, blurry) the wound was already half closed and was no longer so wet and fleshy. M. slept for 45 minutes and was still really tired afterwards. The dog’s mistress and master confirmed that he was no longer limping so badly and had become calmer in temperament. They actually noticed that Reiki seemed to work strongly with M. especially on the psychic-emotional level.

On 13.5.09 (3rd photo): the wound is closed! M. is still limping a little. When I enter the apartment door, M. greets me expectantly and runs to his blanket. M. lives together with 3 young cats. One of them cuddles up on my lap, that is, between M. and me. This does not suit M. at all. He growls at the cat, gets up and runs away in a huff! So: Cat out, M. with good coaxing and apologizing back in….

On 25.5.09 (4.+5. photo) I treat M.for the last time and the leg looks great. Still my dog friend is very jumpy and I have to let every movement happen very slowly and without jerks. But I am alone with him in the room for the second time and he enjoys the treatment completely.

I was so pleased with the success because I know that there is nothing more honest than an animal (or child). An animal shows you clearly what suits it or not and it senses what is good for it. This confirmation confirmed me in my Reiki actions and the doubts that kept arising were blown away! Already in my 3A movement foundation I expressed the wish that I would like to work more with animals. M.was until now the only real animal customer, but I believe that sooner or later I will gain a foothold in this sector and may expand this dream. My own practice as an osteopath (and as what else do I know…) is getting closer and closer. I will be ready in about 4 years!

You are welcome to use my Reiki story if you like. M.-Frauchen also agrees.
