My father has been suffering from severe depression for over a year (cause unclear) and was recently diagnosed with incurable polyneuropathy. He was placed on pain medication, after which he developed severe thrombosis. Z. Currently, he is without pain medication and additionally suffers from bladder voiding dysfunction, which required a catheterization. This catheter causes additional pain and bleeding. This measure is intended to bridge the time until surgery is possible after the thrombosis has healed. The indwelling catheter hinders him in everything and also does not allow him to ride a bicycle (the only pleasure, sporting activity and painful locomotion). He is now lying in bed, completely giving up on himself and no longer sees any meaning in life. The depression intensifies his subjective perception of pain many times over. He gets daily Reiki from his wife, responds well to it for some time, but my mother is now at the end of her own rope.
My father’s absolute weak points are his head, both shoulders, hands and feet. The thrombosis is at the left popliteal fossa towards the lower leg, as well as the bladder and draining urinary tract. We would all be unspeakably happy if he could experience relief through Reiki and we could thus strengthen his belief in Reiki. He should get courage to live again to be open later for a Reiki initiation !

“I went to bed more reassured after our conversation yesterday. This morning I was overjoyed to tell my father about being added to the emergency chain. He was so relieved and touched. I think we did exactly the right thing. My mother was also very touched and draws new courage. In my current situation I feel even more how much Reiki means to me. I don’t feel so powerless anymore.
I thank all the people who are now working on Dad’s recovery. It’s so good not to be alone in such a desperate situation.” -

Now I would like to report briefly about the changes in my father E. Z. after one week. On the weekend, after lying down for a long time, he got up for a short time and once had hardly any pain for a short time. However, in the middle of the week he was hospitalized due to physical weakness and poor general condition, as well as cardiac arrhythmia. His heart was successfully brought into sinus rhythm and the accompanying urinary tract infection is currently being treated with antibiotics. Today he was able to leave his bed for short walks in and around the hospital.

Final feedbackDear Reiki Helpers,
today a final assessment of my father’s health. He was allowed to leave the hospital in the middle of last week. The heart and kidney problems are resolved. He is cautiously regaining a little more courage to face life and is ready for pain therapy coming soon. I have also noticed that he is able to eat normal amounts again to counteract his extreme weight loss. Furthermore, he has set small subgoals for each day. We are very happy and thankful that we got through the last weeks with your help and support. We have also found the strength to give each other support, understanding and love. Thank you for all the effort and time you put in.
