Effect of Reiki on depression in elderly
The study was conducted over 12 weeks with a group of 30 elderly people living in nursing homes receiving Reiki treatments weekly, a placebo group under same cicumstances and a controll group. Thus it is all the more significant that the conclusion was reached that there was a significant decrease in depression score of the Reiki group while there was no change in the placebo- and the control group.
