Juli writes about the seminar Reiki and spirituality:
I wanted to give you a short feedback. I really had to think about it until I came up with something – but it was also an experiment for you, so feedback is definitely important.
I really liked the combination of Reiki and spirituality. I wish the workshop could have lasted two days longer. The lunch break was exactly right, and at the end of the days I wasn’t exhausted at all (as I usually am after daylongs).
I was also really impressed by the way you dealt with questions. From my point of view, it was quite natural that only one of you “steers” and the other supports. But now I can better understand why you, René, have so far emphasised that it is important that only one person leads.
Your friendship, which could be felt throughout the whole workshop, also contributed positively to the atmosphere. I also really liked the Curanum as a place! It was just a bit cold, especially because of the cold floor. I thought that was a bit of a shame – a bit more warmth would have helped to relax.
I also found it a bit of a pity that I didn’t really notice anything of the group because of the arrangement of the chairs. I would have liked a circle of chairs, or another form in which more encounter and dialogue are possible.
A central thought of Martin Buber’s was in my mind the whole weekend: he speaks of “I-It” relationships and “I-You” relationships. The recognition of the “I” in the ” You”, that is God. For me, this sums up the interface of Reiki and spirituality and also the weekend quite well. Perhaps the “dialogical principle” could be put more in the centre.
