Reproductive medicine and Reiki

This contribution comes from a physician who also reports elsewhere, according to her work in the field of artificial insemination (see obstetrics / intensive care)

I worked as a doctor in a reproductive medicine practice for almost four years. During this time I participated in the Reiki 1 seminar with Mischa in October 2000 and completed the Reiki 2 seminar with René in April 2001. Now I immediately began to eagerly use the symbols professionally as well. I harmonized the examination rooms, wrapped my colleagues in “2+ 1” and finally got used to wrapping the patients in “2+ 1” again and again while I was talking to them or examining them.

I worked most intensively with Reiki 2 techniques during inseminations (insertion of processed sperm high into the uterus at the time of ovulation) and embryo transfers (insertion of fertilized eggs into the uterus after artificial insemination procedures such as IVF* and ICSI*). After these procedures, the patients have to wait about two weeks until they can have a pregnancy test in the blood done in the office to finally know if the treatment was successful.

Already after a short time of my eager Reiki use, I was asked by my colleagues what I would do differently with the inseminations and embryo transfers. . . my pregnancy rates would be so high, in some cases well above the statistical success rates. usually the pregnancy rate is about 12% for inseminations and 20-25% for embryo transfers per therapy attempt.
At times, every second to third patient was pregnant, sometimes even with almost hopeless initial findings!

However, there was a difference: when I was on duty alone on weekends, when I could arrange my own time and thus had the opportunity to harmonize the used treatment room in peace and to wrap all the medical assistants working with me in “2+ 1″ beforehand, then my most sensational successes came about. Of course, on these days there was also more time to devote to the patients: 2+ 1” – wrapping before, during and after the treatment. Sometimes I even managed to get my service weekend beforehand with Reiki.

In the spring of 2002 I completed the Reiki 3a seminar with René and used the temporary attunement occasionally with patients shortly before the embryo transfer, in order to be able to give them Reiki as a support for the often grueling two-week waiting period until the pregnancy test. Many women despair at this time because of their helplessness: they can do nothing more for the hopefully good outcome of the pregnancy test, except wait patiently. Reiki helped you a lot subjectively, but did not increase the pregnancy rate.
