This may sound like an exaggeration. Not for parents who have experienced sudden infant death. And what about energy remnants in hotel or hospital beds?
In Reiki we are fundamentally concerned with its protective effect. In the second Reiki level, techniques are taught specifically for this purpose. This includes the harmonization of beds. In this context, Mischa already noticed an amazing study years ago. Now one of our Reiki teachers has written the following article.
For more than 100 years
… possible causes of the sudden and inexplicable death of healthy infants (SIDS: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) have been investigated.
Fortunately, SIDS has declined steadily since the 1990s, in Germany even by almost 90% (1,285 cases in 1991 to 152 cases in 2013). This positive circumstance is presumably due to numerous educational campaigns for a healthy sleeping environment as well as improved medical precautions. Nevertheless, sudden infant death in richer countries is still one of the most frequent causes of death in infancy, especially in the first year of life and here mainly between the 2nd and 4th months of life.
This circumstance understandably triggers great fear in parents. Not least because there is no one cause for SIDS, but many different factors play a role. For example, the latest research suggests that a certain gene is a contributory cause. However, there are some risk factors that have been known for some time which can be influenced and which, if avoided, contribute to minimising the overall risk: drug consumption during pregnancy, lack of prenatal care, baby sleeping in prone position (recommendation: supine position), passive smoking, overheating, insufficient air circulation.
A healthy sleeping environment is one of the most important criteria for the well-being of infants. A study of 400 infants in Scotland between 1996 and 2000 investigated whether used mattresses increase the risk of SIDS. The study found a significant increase in the risk of SIDS from the use of used mattresses, especially for those who did not come from their own family. The researchers suspected bacteria and germs to be the cause, but it was not possible to prove them definitively. Another possible cause was completely ignored in the evaluation of the results: Mattresses are a storage place for stressful energies that can significantly impede healthy and restful sleep.
Through knowledge of quantum physics
… we nowadays know that everything consists of energy, which means that matter is basically nothing but energy. Mattresses can thus store all kinds of energies. How often did we lie ill in bed, had nightmares or cried to sleep? All this has accumulated in our mattress. How much unwholesome energy might be contained in the mattresses in hospital beds? In addition, negative energies can already flow into our sleep utensils during the manufacturing process.
The danger of SIDS often leaves parents somewhat helpless, despite all the precautions they have taken so far. Reiki can help to take away from this helplessness, in three ways: On the one hand, the harmonizing reiki energy can neutralize negative energies in mattresses, because it is a characteristic of reiki to resonate to dis-harmonies, with the goal of restoring a harmonious balance.
On the other hand, you can do something good for your offspring with Reiki treatments. Through reiki, the body’s own self-healing capabilities of the small one experience a boost. This supports the parental and medical efforts to stabilize a holistic baby health.
And last but not least, the parents themselves can recharge their own batteries with regular Reiki (self-)treatments, free themselves from a possible victim role and take responsibility for themselves – for their own well-being and thus for the well-being of their child.
