I’m sitting under our pergola, it’s noon and quiet. Just very, very quiet.
We have had our little house on this small island for 33 years. Although I feel very much at home in cities, although we have lived on three different continents, every year I long for the summer here, and this peace.
This year, as soon as we arrived, we were interviewed by an Australian television crew. A central question was: What does Sikinos mean to you?
Very good question. The starry sky is the same everywhere, but for me it is most beautiful here. This is where I feel at home. And here I have also experienced very intensive ‘Reiki times’.
Be it self-treatments, treatments of others – every year something ‘arises’ – the complete revision of the master training manual, but also most beautiful: the seminars, planned or spontaneous.
Last year a spontaneous children’s seminar with 2 siblings came up. The mum had already done treatments as well as the seminar. The children have been familiar with Reiki since birth: Mum put her hands on their tummy or René helped them to fall asleep.

And so it came about, the children’s seminar. Soon after our arrival I heard someone call out “Mischa, Mischa!”, was greeted joyfully and hugged. Immediately the question came: “And, when can we come to you and do more Reiki?”
Yes, that is the most beautiful greeting on ‘my’ island, my home.
I wish you a wonderful, relaxing summer.
